Bank of America is offering a special deal right now where new customers can get a $300 bonus. If you open a new personal checking account by May 31, 2025, you might be able to get in on this offer.
But, it’s important to remember that this promotion is only for people who haven’t owned a Bank of America personal checking account in the last year.
There are three types of accounts you can open to get this bonus: Advantage SafeBalance Banking®, Advantage Plus Banking®, and Advantage Relationship Banking®. Business accounts and family banking products won’t qualify for this deal.
When you sign up, make sure to use the promo code PSJ300CIS. You can do all of this on the Bank of America promotional page.
To actually get the $300, you need to do two things:
- Open a new personal checking account on the Bank of America offer page by May 31, 2025.
- Set up your account to receive at least $2,000 in direct deposits within 90 days after you open it.
Remember that direct deposits should be payments like your paycheck, pension, or Social Security from your employer or another organization that sends you money. Simple transfers between accounts, deposits from ATMs, or transfers using the mobile app won’t count.
If you do everything right, Bank of America will add the $300 to your new account within 60 days.
Just make sure your account is active and doesn't have any issues when they go to give you the bonus. You’ll also need to fill out tax forms because the bonus is considered income for tax purposes
