Next $725 Payment for Families in Need: What You Need to Know

In an effort to help families struggling financially, Sacramento County is rolling out more support through the Family First Economic Support Pilot Program (FFESP).

This special program is designed to give extra money each month to parents and legal guardians with young children, aiming to make life a bit easier for them.

This program specifically helps families with kids between 0-5 years old who don't make more than 200% of the federal poverty level. They've chosen 200 families from certain areas to receive a helpful sum of $725 every month for a year.

Plus, these families will get advice on managing their money and information on community support to help them through tough times.

Who Can Get the $725 Every Month?

  • Where You Live: Your home must be in one of these zip codes: 95815, 95821, 95823, 95825, 95828, or 95838.
  • Your Children: You need to have a child or children aged between 0-5 years.
  • Your Income: Your family's yearly income should be below a certain level, which changes depending on how many people are in your family. For example, a family of two should make less than $40,880 a year, and this amount goes up as your family gets bigger.

You also can't be getting money from another program like this to qualify.

When and How Will the Money Arrive?

If you're picked for the program, you'll get $725 each month for one year. The first payment was sent out on June 15, 2025, and this will continue until July 15, 2026.

The next payment is expected on August 15, 2025, and it will be deposited on the 15th of each month.

This program is part of a bigger effort to give families the financial boost they need, not just with money but also by helping them find and use other helpful resources in the community.
